Aristocrat has announced that its fan-favorite land-based slot series Lightning Link will make its digital debut across North American-regulated markets, including all seven US states with iGaming markets, as well as Ontario and Alberta.
Aristocrat says the online series will be developed by its online real-money gaming studio, Aristocrat Interactive. The first slot of the franchise to go live with major operators will be Lightning Link High Stakes. Aristocrat adds that more games will go live in the coming months.
Lightning Link first debuted over a decade ago and has since become one of the most recognizable games in Aristocrat’s portfolio. The company adds that its move from land-based casino to digital underscores its commitment to providing popular content for online casino players.
The online game will feature familiar mechanics to its land-based counterpart, including its Hold & Spin and Big Reel features, multi-denominational play, and a shared progressive and grand jackpot. The game will also feature Las Vegas-style graphics, such as roulette wheels and poker chips.
“The launch of Lightning Link brings one of the most successful land-based slot game families in history to online players across the US and Canada. This is a full-scale network rollout supported by the industry’s largest operators, featuring a roadmap of subsequent legendary titles,” Aristocrat Interactive CEO Dylan Slaney said.
